Hello
Danelly Liz-Croes or “Liz”, is a self- taught artist from Miami, Florida
living on the Dutch island of Aruba.
Her focus is with ceramics, graphite illustrations,
oil and acrylic paint, and digital illustration.
My Story
Growing up, Liz became enamored with surrealism and the lowbrow movement and credits much of her inspiration by the works of Dali, Margaret Kean, and Mark Ryden. This interest was cultivated over the years, having drawn from these influences and developed her own surreal portraiture. Liz describes her work aesthetic as "creepy cute". The figures in Liz' work are instantly recognizable with their large, doe eyes, short noses, and puckered lips.
Ranging from cute or vulnerable, to strong and punk, Liz has a detailed art style focused primarily in graphite and other mediums like oils, acrylic, and ink.
In late 2020, Liz reconnected with her love of sculpture to create an extension of her surrealism work into the real world. Her collections featured a range of with sculpted faces in her signature portrait style.
In 2022, she started her tattoo career with Black Sheep Body Arts, focusing on portraiture, black and grey realism, and color work.
